With Hurricane Harvey approaching the Texas coast and expected to dump heavy rains along with winds, several sports teams are monitoring the storm.

ASTROS--Scheduled to fly home from Los Angeles Sunday night.  Off Monday, but scheduled to host Texas and the New York Mets next week.

TEXANS--In New Orleans for the preseason game against the Saints and scheduled to fly home after the game.  Scheduled to host Dallas in the final preseason game next Thursday.

SAM HOUSTON STATE--Has announced their season opener vs. #7 Richmond scheduled for Sunday has been postponed.  The teams will try to make up the game at a later date.  The game was scheduled to be televised on ESPNU.

LSU--Scheduled to play BYU next Saturday in Houston.  School issued a statement earlier today.

Some teams have already made decisions:

Louisiana has cancelled its scheduled soccer match on Sunday against Ole Miss.

The Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks canceled both games of Friday's doubleheader against the Midland Rockhounds.

The Houston Dynamo called off Saturday's MLS game against Sporting K.C. and rescheduled it for Oct. 11. Likewise, the National Women's Soccer League's Houston Dash will not play Sunday's game against the North Carolina Courage.
