Louisiana put forth a valiant effort in the 2nd half to win it 43-38; however, UL Monroe ended up hanging on and earning the victory.

The Ragin' Cajuns' 5 game win streak was snapped tonight by Arkansas State. Arkansas State defeated UL 95-87. With this defeat UL moves out of first place in the west with a conference record of 7-4 and an overall record of 13-5.

The Ragin' Cajuns went into San Marcos and stole the victory away from the Bobcats of Texas State. In the final seconds of the game when all looked lost, Devin Butts came away with a steal and lay up that sealed the game for UL. Louisiana defeated the Bobcats 74 to 73.

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns snapped Texas State's 5 game win streak, overcoming adversity to procure a 62-20 victory in San Marcos on Friday.
