The Louisiana Ragin' Cajun Baseball season is right around the corner and we got a chance to visit with some of the players from this years team.

Today we've got catcher, Handsome Monica.

Monica is a senior from Mandeville, Louisiana and last season was his first with the Ragin' Cajuns. As a catcher you deal with injuries and Monica was no different, he did however play through those injuries and played in 55 games with 54 starts. He hit only .215, but scored 21 runs, drove in 19 runs, and slugged 4 home runs. As far as defense goes, he was solid, he committed only 6 errors with 523 putouts for a .990 fielding percentage.

Handsome Monica gives us his outlook on the 2018 season, how life will be without Gunner Leger, why he's not thinking about individual goals, what he worked on to improve this off-season, and we get a look into how his goofy mind works with some word association.

Tomorrow you'll hear from senior closer, Dylan Moore.
