One of those "frissons" kind of moments happened yesterday when 96-year-old World War II veteran Pete DuPré stunned the crowd before a soccer match with a poignant rendition of the national anthem on his harmonica.

DuPré kicked of the U.S. women's national soccer team's Sunday matchup against Mexico with his harmonica in hand. After waving his World War II veteran cap to the crowd, he launched into the touching version of "The Star-Spangled Banner" to the audience's delight.

And as you can see from the post-performance reaction, the crowd loved it!

DuPré has performed the national anthem before, and his musical talents have earned him the nickname "Harmonica Pete."

The veteran served as a medic in the 114th General Hospital Unit in Kidderminster, England for three years during the war. He treated wounded service members from all over Europe.

Thanks for the smile Pete.
