Batman Is Getting A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Selection Committee narrowed their picks down from hundreds of nominees.

When you walk around Hollywood Blvd. and Vine St. where the Hollywood Walk of Fame is located, you see names like Charlie Chaplin, Tom Hanks, and Michael Jackson. Big named stars from all walks of entertainment life. But did you know there are fictional characters that have their own stars too?

As it turns out, Mickey Mouse has his own star. He was the first animated character to get a star. The list of fictional characters include:

• Alvin and the Chipmunks
• Big Bird
• Bug Bunny
• Donald Duck
• Godzilla
• Kermit the Frog
• Mickey Mouse
• Minnie Mouse
• The Munchkins
• The Muppets
• Rugrats
• Shrek
• The Simpsons
• Snoopy
• Snow White
• Tinker Bell
• Winnie the Pooh
• Woody Woodpecker

Live action Animals with stars include:

• Lassie
• Rin Tin Tin
• Strongheart

It looks like Batman will be getting his star this year!

He joins the 2020 stars with the likes of Julia Roberts, Spike Lee, Mahershala Ali, and Chris Hemsworth in the motion picture category. Andy Cohen, Wendy Williams, Christina Applegate, and Terry Crews will get stars in the television category. 50 Cent, Alicia Keys, Billy Idol, and Tanya Tucker in the music category. Billy Porter and Dave Chappelle will get stars from the stage, among others from different categories.
