Today, #20:

The pick: Russell Gary

When deciding who is the best New Orleans Saints player to ever wear #20, the choice is limited to defensive backs George Youngblood, Delles Howell, Eric Felton, Russell Gary, John Sutton, Othello Henderson, Earl Little, Jay Bellamy, Brian Dixon, and Randall Gay, running backs Derek Brown and Terry Allen, and defensive end John Wood.

This one is a little tough, with no elite players ever wearing #20 for the team, but we're going to go with safety Russell Gary, who played for the Saints from 1981-1986.

After finishing his college career at Nebraska, Gary was selected by the Saints in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft.

A Pro-Bowler in 1983, Gary was a starter in four of his six seasons with the Saints.

A native of Minneapolis Minnesota, Gary left the Saints midway through the 1986 season, and played the final year-and-a-half of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles, before retiring following the 1987 season.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Gary intercepted seven passes in his 62 career games with the Saints.

Gary currently works as an assistant coach at Concordia University.
