Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball pitcher Jordan Wallace has earned Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for the 9th time in her collegiate career.

"She has trusted her preparation, worked hard and has mentally engaged in this season," said head softball coach Michael Lotief on the team's official twitter account. "Jordan has worked extremely hard to get stronger, tougher, increase her velocity and endurance."

Wallace pitched two complete game shutouts over the weekend (Friday and Sunday), and an addition two innings of work on Saturday.

In a 15-0 victory over Mississippi Valley State, Wallace struck out an impressive 16 batters, not allowing a single hit or walk.

In two innings of work versus Idaho State, Wallace struck out 5 of the 6 batters she faced, going three up and three down in both innings.

Yesterday, Wallace improved her record to 3-0 on the season, fanning 9 batters, allowing 1 hit with 4 walks in a dominant 6-0 victory over the Bengals.

“She set new goals and like all true competitors, found a way to learn and grow from last year," said Lotief of his senior ace.
