The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns played the UC Irvine Anteaters close all the way until the under 12-minute timeout in the second half but that's when UCI went on a couple of runs making 12 of their last 14 shots to pull away. The Anteaters defeated the Cajuns Tuesday in their Las Vegas finale 92-67.

Louisiana finished this game not making a field goal for the final 4:26 of the ballgame, you couple that with UC Irvine's hot shooting and you get a lopsided result.

Irvine led wire to wire in this one but it never felt like UL was out of it until the final eight minutes. The Cajuns trailed by seven at halftime and cut it to as close as three in the second half at 48-45 but unfortunately, that's as close as they would get.

For the game, Louisiana shot just  31% as a team while UC Irvine shot it at an impressive 61% clip.

Coach Marlin after the game said that Tommy Rutherford and Brad Greene beat them up underneath as they combined for 32 points.

With the loss, the Cajuns fall to 4-3 on the season and will finally return home to the Cajun Dome Tuesday, December 3rd to face Southeastern Louisiana at 7 p.m.
