Joc Pederson hit a pair of homers last night, giving the Los Angeles Dodgers the National League record for homers in a season.

The Dodgers now have 250 homers, breaking the record of 249 set by the Houston Astros in 2000.

Cody Bellinger leads the team with 44 homers.  Max Muncy has 33, Pederson 31 and Justin Turner has 27.  Seven more players have ten or more.

Minnesota has already set the new Major League Record.  44 of their homers, however, have come from the DH position, which does not exist in the National League.  The Dodgers have one homer by a pitcher, none from a DH.
