It was just a matter of time.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the NL Western Division Champions...again.

The Dodgers made it seven straight championships with a 7-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles.  The Dodgers, who have already broken the National League mark for homers in a season, did it with the long ball again last night as Corey Seager belted a pair of homers and drove in five to back the pitching of Walker Buehler, who improved to 13-3 on the year.

Only the Atlanta Braves (14 straight) and the New York Yankees (nine in a row), have won more consecutive division titles since the division era began in 1969.  It's the earliest the Dodgers have ever clinched a division title (16 games remaining) and they became the first team in Major League Baseball to qualify for the post season this year.

The Dodgers lead the Braves by four games in the race for home field advantage throughout the NL postseason and trail the Yankees and Astros by one game for the best overall record in baseball.
