Farmer Named Athletics Director at UTPB

Former Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Director Scott Farmer has been named to the same position at Division II University of Texas of the Permian Basin.

The appointment is effective October 15th.

Farmer came to Louisiana as the Senior Associate AD in 2007, and was promoted to the AD position in 2010.

The UTPB President is Dr. Sandra K. Woodley, who served as the President of the University of Louisiana system from 2013-16.

The Odessa-based school has an enrollment of over 5.000 and sponsors 16 sports (eight men's, eight women's) on the Division II level.  The Falcons play in the Lone Star Conference.

Farmer resigned as AD in November, 2016 and moved into the kinesiology department, where he has served as an instructor.
