While we wouldn't call this a spectacular weekend for college football, there are some games worth noting this week.  And, since there aren't a ton of Power games this weekend, it's a good week to take a look at a couple of games that might be flying under your radar this week.

TEXAS TECH (2-0) at HOUSTON (2-0) (-6') 11:00, ESPN2--Unlike some past seasons, we haven't heard a lot about these two teams, in part because of Hurricane Harvey.  Both teams have beaten an Arizona school on the road.  Texas Tech and Houston both have pretty high powered offenses.  Houston's defense is why they are the favorite.

OHIO (2-1) at EASTERN MICHIGAN (-2') 1:00, ESPN3--Ohio is a perennial power in the MAC and one of the favorites in the East again this season. Up until last year, EMU was not only the doormat of the MAC, they were pretty much the doormat of college football.  And now, they are a favorite in this game.  There's something special going on in Ypsilanti.

(16) TCU (3-0) at (6) OKLAHOMA STATE (3-0) (-13) 2:30 ESPN--TCU has gotten ranked thanks to a road win at Arkansas and a lot of points against SMU.  The Cowboys were getting a lot of love before the season and while they haven't been beating quality teams, they've won twice on the road and averaging over 50 points per game.  The over/under is up to 71 1/2..

(17) MISSISSIPPI STATE (3-0, 1-0) at GEORGIA (3-0) (-5')--The maroon Bulldogs got the nation's attention with their thrashing of LSU last week and this is a team with a lot of weapons.  The red Bulldogs are the favorite in the East.  Georgia plays good defense, but will they score enough to overcome MSU's explosiveness.  Mississippi State is taking their second big bite in two weeks.  They might need more cowbell.

(22) SAN DIEGO STATE (3-0)  (-2') at AIR FORCE (1-1) --To me, a much more entertaining question in the early season is not who is the Heisman favorite, but rather who has made the best impression among the Group of Five.  That would be the Aztecs, who already have to Pac-12 skins (including Stanford) on the wall  The Mountin West can be treacherous, but SDSU is really worth keeping an eye on.
