Former Ragin' Cajuns head football coach Mark Hudspeth has accepted a job to get him back on the sidelines as a head coach after spending the 2018 season as the Assistant head/tight ends coach for Mississippi State. He'll be heading to Austin Peay an FCS school located in Clarksville, Tennesse.

Hudspeth will take over a Governor's team that finished the season 5-6 overall and a 3-5 record in the Ohio Valley Conference. He will be replacing former coach Will Healy who moved on to take the head coaching job at Charlotte.

Coach Hudspeth spent 2011-2017 with the Ragin' Cajuns and lead the program back to success with five New Orleans Bowl appearances, winning four of them before two were vacated.

Congratulations to Mark Hudspeth on his new head coaching position and we wish him well.
