If you're a regular listener to "The Au-Zone," you know Ragin' Cajuns softball head coach Gerry Glasco is a regular guest on the program. Today, he joined us in studio to discuss the naming of the Lamson Park field for former Cajuns coach Yvette Girouard and why it's important for the program to remember its history.

As soon as we wrapped Hour 2, Coach Girouard herself phoned into the program. Coach Glasco wanted to stick around to say a few words to her on air. His tribute turned into a 45-minute lesson in softball history and philosophy presented by the program's founder and its current leader.

It is, without question, my favorite segment in the two-plus years "The Au-Zone" has been on the air.

Also on this week's show: Coach Tony Robichaux joined us in the first hour for our weekly conversation about Cajuns baseball.
