Heat Down Spurs, 109-93, Even NBA Finals

The Miami Heat downed the San Antonio Spurs in game four of the 2013 NBA Finals, 109-93, at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas on Thursday night, to even up the best-of-seven game series, at 2-2.

The game was tied, 49-49, at halftime, but it was all Miami in the second half, as they out-scored San Antonio, 60-44, in the last 24 minutes to secure the 16-point victory, and avoid losing consecutive games since the last time they did so, on January 8th and 10th.

The Heat out-shot the Spurs from the field, 53%-44%, and also finished with a 41-36 rebound advantage.

Miami also forced 18 San Antonio turnovers, which led to 23 points.

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh combined for 85 points for the Heat.

James had 33 points and 11 rebounds after failing to break 20 points in any of the first three games of the series, while Wade scored 32 points, 11 more than his previous high this postseason.

Bosh, meanwhile, matched his playoff high with 20 points, while pulling down 13 rebounds.

In a losing cause for the Spurs, Tim Duncan had 20 points and five rebounds, while Tony Parker added 15 points, but was held scoreless in the second half. Parker also contributed nine assists.

Game five is scheduled for Sunday night, in San Antonio.

Game six, as well as game seven, if necessary, will be held in Miami, Florida.
