Jermon Bushrod

 

Jermon Bushrod, who spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the New Orleans Saints, has agreed to a five-year, $35.9 million deal with the Chicago Bears.

The 28-year old Bushrod, who played his college football at Towson, was drafted in the the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Saints, where he became a starter in 2009, and a Pro Bowler in both the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Bushrod joins former Saints' assistant coach Aaron Cromer, who is now the offensive coordinator of the Bears, who have allowed well over 100 sacks over their last 40 regular season games.

Offensive tackles remaining on the Saints' roster currently include Zach Strief, Charles Brown, Bryce Harris, Marcel Jones, and Aderious Simmons.
