It's Joe Burrow's world, we're just living in it.

The Heisman Trophy winner and LSU quarterback is getting yet another accolade. This one might be the most special though for the Athens, Ohio native.

The school board for Athens High School, Burrow's alma mater, unanimously approved naming the school's football field in Burrow's name.

Starting next season, the Athens Bulldogs will play at R Basil Rutter Field at Joe Burrow Stadium.

The motion to name the stadium came from board member Roger A. Brown, who is wrapping up 16 years of service to the school district.

The Athens High School booster club is planning a ceremony to celebrate the honor at a time and date to be determined. The speculation that this will take place sometime after the LSU football season is over.

Burrow graduated from Athens High School in 2015 and was honored as the 2014 Ohio Mr. Football and the Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year.
