The RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is a formula used by the NCAA to calculate the strength of a team in college basketball.  It takes into consideration a team's record, it's strength of schedule and road wins.

A team in the 30's or better has a good shot of an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament.  Anything lower than 50 is tough to crack.

Right now there are no teams in the Sun Belt or the state of Louisiana that have positioned themselves for such a bid.

The latest official NCAA RPI is as follows

64.  LSU

84. Louisiana Tech

103. Georgia State

123.  Louisiana

157. Western Kentucky

170. UALR

176. UL Monroe
