Louisiana's Gunner Leger, the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year, added another post-season honor as the lefty was named to the first team in the All-Louisiana squad announced by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.

Two other Cajuns, pitcher Wyatt Marks and outfielder Steven Sensley, were named to the second team.

As one might expect, national runner-up LSU dominated the selections with nine players selected on the first and second teams.  LSU also took four of the five individual awards as RHP Alex Lange was named Pitcher of the Year, outfielder Greg Deichmann Hitter of the Year, RHP Eric Walker Freshman of the Year and Paul Mainieri Coach of the Year.

Robbie Podorsky, who led all of Division I with 39 stolen bases, was named the state's Newcomer of the Year.

Leger (10-2, 1.97) allowed only 66 hits in 91.1 innings of work.  Leger came within one out of a no-hitter against Saint Peter's in his fourth start of the season.

Leger was joined on the first team by Lange, Nate Harris of Louisiana Tech and Mac Sceroler of Southeastern Louisiana.

Marks, a first team All Sun Belt selection, led the nation in strikeouts per nine innings and fewest hits per nine innings.  The Oakland A's signee was 2-1 with seven saves on the season.  He allowed just 29 hits and struck out 100 batters in 59.1 innings.

Sensley was a second team All Sun Belt performer led the Cajuns in batting average (314), home runs (11) RBI (46) and slugging percentage (.576).  He signed with the New York Yankees after being drafted in the 12th round.

In addition to Lange and Deichmann, shortstop Kramer Robertson was also named to the first team.  The Tigers dominated second team selections as pitchers Zach Hess, Jared Poche' and Walker, catcher Michael Papierski, second baseman Cole Freeman and outfielder Antoine Duplantis were all honored. Outfielder Zach Watson was named honorable mention.
