For the fourth time under Nick Saban and the second straight year, Alabama tops the Associated Press preseason top 25 poll.

The Crimson Tide received 52 of the 61 first place votes in the poll.  #2 Ohio State (3), #3 Florida State (4) and #4 USC (2) were the other teams receiving first place votes.

Defending national champion Clemson checks in at #5, with Penn State, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Oklahoma State rounding out the top 10.

The Southeastern Conference led the way with six teams in the poll.  Auburn was the second highest rated team at #12.  LSU was right behind at 13, while Georgia (15), Florida (17) and Tennessee (25) were also ranked.

South Florida was the only non-Power Five team in the poll, with the Bulls ranked #19.  Appalachian State was the only Sun Belt school receiving votes.  The Mountaineers had four votes.
