A scary moment was captured on video yesterday as an 18-wheel tractor-trailer slammed into an accident scene in Texas.

Crews were on the scene of a two-car crash on Highway 84 in Lubbock County. Police were investigating the crash when the semi-truck jackknifed and slid off the road and came to a rest at the center of the median.

A local TV crew was on hand getting footage of the first crash when they caught the dramatic footage on tape.

As you see in the video, several law enforcement officers scrambled to get out of the way of the semi as it barreled off the road.

The truck did hit one of the Texas state troopers and pinned another driver inside a pickup truck. A Lubbock Fire Department rescue team was able to extricate the driver from the truck.

Both the trooper and driver were taken to a nearby hospital and are expected to survive.

As you can see in the video, foggy conditions didn't help matters. There was a dense fog advisory for the area, with visibility at a quarter of a mile or less.

All total yesterday morning in the area, there were five crashes, involving four tractor-trailers and four smaller vehicles.
