If you've followed sports, almost any sport, over the past ten or twenty years then you know the voice of Dick Enberg. Enberg was one network TV's most versatile announcers. He was just as at home calling fast-paced NCAA basketball as he was whispering his comments on the 18th green of a major golf tournament.

Enberg who began his broadcast career at a small radio station in Michigan rose to the top of the network elite when it came to describing sports action. Over 60 years, his voice was a part of Super Bowls, World Series, Wimbledon Tennis Championships, the Olympic Games, and countless other magical sports moments.

Enberg became well known for a two-word catchphrase, Oh My! That he used sparingly and only at the most amazing moments. Enberg won 13 Sports Emmy Awards, he has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the media center at Pauley Pavillion on the campus of UCLA is named in his honor.

Enberg was found dead in his home late yesterday after his family became concerned that he wasn't on a flight to Boston. A search of Enberg's residence revealed he passed away in his home with his bags packed by the door. Dick Enberg was 82.
