The New Orleans Hornets were subjugated by the San Antonio Spurs Friday night by the score of 128-103.

The tenacious defense the Hornets have made a habit of this season was nowhere to be found. As a result, the Spurts easily won their 10th straight.

Tim Duncan led San Antonio in scoring with 19, but it was the Spurs bench that was most effective. Eight players came off the pine to combine for 82 bench points.

Eric Gordon had a big scoring night in defeat, finishing with 31 points. Marco Belinelli backed him up and finished with 15. Carl Landry came off the pine as well, chipping in 13 points.

It was far and away the worst defensive performance of the season for Monty Williams' squad. Despite the poor record (14-41), New Orleans has prided itself on the defensive end of the floor this season. Going into Friday night's game, they were ranked 8th league in points allowed at 93.6. Giving up more than 34 points over your average will all but guarantee you a loss.

The Hornets now return home for a matchup tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tip-off at the Hive is set for 7:00.
