Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team saw their 27 game home winning streak snapped on Saturday afternoon at Lamson Park, as the Troy Trojans took advantage of free bases to claim a 9-5 victory.

Cajun pitchers only gave up 3 hits, but walked 8 batters and hit another 6.

Offensively, the Cajuns scored 5 runs on 6 hits, 2 of the runs were earned.

Senior Leandra Maly led Louisiana at the plate with two hits and an RBI in 3 official at bats. Shellie Landry, Lexie Elkins, Kelsey Vincent and Taylor Terrio each finished with one hit.

Jordan Wallace was charged with the loss, falling to 11-2 on the season, giving up 6 runs, all earned, walked 6, and struck out 7. Wallace moved into 4th place all-time on the school strike out list.

Trojan ace Ashley Rainey earned the win, going 5 innings, allowing 5 runs, 2 earned, on 6 hits.

With the loss, #7 Louisiana falls to 23-4 on the season, with an 8-2 record in Sun Belt play. Troy improves to 18-12, with a 4-3 mark in conference.
