The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns offered three football scholarships over the Memorial Day weekend, including two to junior college players, and one to a player currently in the prep ranks.

Louisiana offered two players from Iowa Central Community College, receiver Tanarious Achan and defensive tackle Marquis Burks, along with Marques Buford, Jr., a safety/receiver from Trinity Christian High School (Cedar Hill, Texas).


The 5-foot-9, 160-pound Achan is scheduled to be eligible for Division I football in 2020.

Burks, a native of Chicago, Illinois, where he starred at Curie High School, played in five games for Iowa Central CC last season, racking up 9 tackles.

The 6-foot-3, 286-pound Burks has also reportedly been offered by New Mexico St.


The 5-foot-9, 190-pound Buford has also reportedly been offered by such schools as New Mexico St., Syracuse, Rutgers, Northern Illinois, and Toledo.
