UL Softball Defeats Troy To Win The Series

UL Softball took on Troy again on Saturday after their win on Friday 7-1. They ended up winning again 7-1 to win the weekend series.

The Cajuns were in control the whole game. They scored 7 runs off of 12 hits. Maddie Hayden and Melissa Mayeux both got 2 RBIs for the Cajuns. Melissa Mayeux's RBI was a 2 run homer. While Alexa Langeliers and Kramer Eschete each hit 1 RBI and Langeliers' RBI was a homerun! The Cajuns bats were rolling on Saturday.

Now when it comes to the pitching, Kandra Lamb was on fire. She only allowed 1 hit and managed to get 7 strikeouts. Meghan Schorman came in, in relief and allowed 2 hits and 1 run while getting 3 strikeouts. The Cajun pitching was on point just as the batting was.

The Cajuns will be back on the diamond to try and get the sweep against Troy Sunday at 12:00 PM.
