Jonathan Vilma's season-long suspension for his alleged part in an alleged bounty program involving the New Orleans Saints may have been vacated yesterday, but the Saints' linebacker wants more.

He wants his name cleared.

Vilma's attorney says the battle with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will continue.

Vilma filed a defamation lawsuit against Goodell.

Attorney Peter Ginsburg says the ruling Tuesday by former commissioner Paul Tagliabue didn't go as far as to discredit Goodell's handling of the matter.

Vilma filed papers to drop the lawsuit against the NFL but intends to pursue damages against Goodell.
