It certainly wasn't the final I was expecting, but here we are.  Two very good #1 seeds battling it out for the national title.

Wisconsin and Duke.

Some will point to an earlier meeting back on December 3rd when Duke took a ten point win.  Forget it.  Means nothing.  That was FOUR months ago.  You think these teams are anything like they were back then?  Nope.

Given they have three freshmen who are counted upon so much, Duke is probably better now than they were then.

But so is Wisconsin.

If you love big man battles, you're in for a treat tonight.  Frank Kaminsky vs. Jahlil Okafor is not going to be for the faint of heart.  Kaminsky was very good against Karl Anthony-Towns in Wisconsin's win over Kentucky.  Okafor is a much better offensive player however, and whoever gets the upper hand in this battle will tell a good part of the story.

Wisconsin has the veterans.  Duke has the freshmen.  Lots of freshmen laden teams have gotten to the Final Four and the national championship game.  Anthony Davis won a title.  The other great freshmen have fallen short.

Mike Krzyzewski has been there, done that.  No one else has.

I'm not much into "Duke owns Indianapolis," nor am I into the ACC winning over the Big Ten in the last five title games between the two conferences.

I like Wisconsin's experience.  A lot.

But I don't like the fact Wisconsin has had a much tougher road to the title game against better teams.  And, I really don't like Wisconsin using everything in the tank to get their revenge on mighty Goliath on Saturday.

That tank needs to be full in order to beat Duke.  I don't think it will be.

Regrettably, Duke 75, Wisconsin 71
