Cajuns Defeat Louisiana Tech, End Perfect Weekend.

The eleventh ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team completed the five game sweep in the Sand Dollar Classic in Gulf Shores, AL Sunday by defeating Louisiana Tech 8-2.

It was a record setting day for Cajuns' catcher Lexie Elkins as she belted three home runs for the second time in her career, driving in four runs to lead the Cajuns' attack.

Alex Stewart (3-0) scattered eight hits and allowed just one earned run in a complete game performance.  It's the 26th consecutive time the Cajuns have beaten the Lady Techsters.

Elkins wrapped up a terrific weekend, going 10-15 with five homers and 14 RBI.

The Cajuns are back in action next weekend as they host the Louisiana Classics tournament at Lamson Park.  The Cajuns open play Friday with a doubleheader against #6 Oregon beginning at 2pm.
