The Golden State Warriors came into game 4 with a chance to go 16-0 in the NBA playoffs and make history as the only team in NBA history to do so, but the Cleveland Cavaliers had other plans. The Cavs weren't going to lose two straight at home and they proved that throughout the game as the Warriors never had a lead in the game. The game was filled technical fouls and points galore as there were a total of 7 technical fouls and 35 3-pointers between the two teams. The Cavs ended blowing out the Warriors just like the Warriors had done to them in the 1st two games of the Finals 137-116.

The Cavs would end up scoring 49 points in the first quarter which set an NBA record for most points scored in first quarter of an NBA Finals game. They would end up scoring 86 points in the first half which also set an NBA record. They also set an NBA record for most 3-pointers in an NBA Finals game with 24 which had been broken previously by the Warriors in game 2. The Cavs shot 53.3% whereas the Warriors shot 28.2% from 3.

The big 3 for the Cavs played like they typically have when they hit on all cylinders. Kevin Love had 23 points in the game and probably played one of his better games in the playoffs. Kyrie Irving had 40 points, which was the team high while Lebron was his normal self with a triple-double, with 31 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds and he now has the most triple-doubles in the Finals in NBA History with 9.

Kevin Durant finished the game with 35 points while both Draymond Green and Steph Curry finished with double-doubles. Draymond had 16 points and 14 rebounds while Steph finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The loss was the first since April 10th for Durant and the Warriors. They were simply outclassed in game 4 but they have the chance to close out the series in game 5 at home on Monday at 8 PM CT.
