Danny Farquhar's quest to get back to the big leagues is over, at least for now.

The New York Yankees announced yesterday they have released the former Louisiana Ragin' Cajun after two tough outing with AAA Wilkes-Barre.

Farquhar became a huge story last year when he collapsed in the dugout after pitching in relief with the Chicago White Sox.  He suffered a brain aneurysm and his attempt at a comeback was chronicled nationally.

But in his two outings, Farquhar allowed seven runs on six hits, including three homers, in three innings of work.

We'll see if another organization is willing to take a chance.
