Four first year eligible players have been named finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  They join thirteen other notables for possible induction.  Between four and seven inductees will be named just prior to the Super Bowl.

The newcomers are former Giants lineman Michael Strahan, guard-tackle Larry Allen of the Cowboys and 49ers, offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden of Baltimore and defensive tackle Warren Sapp of the Buccaneers and Raiders.
