John Wall and the Washington Wizards earned their 10th win of the season last night after defeating the New Orleans Hornets 99-89. Wall finished with 26 points and 12 assists. Chris Kaman (pictured left) led the Hornets in scoring with 20.

One of the few bright spots this season for the Hornets has been there top 10 defense. Thursday night at the Hive, they let up on that end of the floor and it cost them their 34th loss of the year. New Orleans made Roger Mason look like an All-Pro in the second half, as the Wizards backup shooting guard scored 17 of his season-high 19 after halftime. After clawing back to take a brief 4th quarter lead, the Hornets gave up an open 3 to Mason. That began a 13-0 run for Washington, propelling them to the win.

The Hornets (10-34) will now travel to New Jersey for a Saturday night matchup with the Nets (15-29. Tip-off from the Prudential Center is set for 7:00.
